Saving Links

LinkBrain gives you multiple ways to capture links — pick whatever fits your workflow.

Browser Extension

The Chrome extension is the fastest way to save. Click the LinkBrain icon in your toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut ⌘⇧S (Mac) / Ctrl+Shift+S (Windows).

The extension will:

  • Capture the page URL and title automatically
  • Extract page content for AI indexing
  • Let you add tags and pick a collection before saving
  • Show a confirmation toast when saved

Quick Save (Library)

From your Library, use the Quick Save bar at the top of the sidebar or press ⌘S. Paste any URL and it'll be saved and processed automatically.

Manual Entry

Press N in your Library to open the new link form. Enter a URL, customize the title, add tags, and assign to a collection.

Importing

Migrate from other services via Sources. We support:

  • Chrome Bookmarks — Export as HTML, upload to LinkBrain
  • Pocket — One-click OAuth import
  • Raindrop.io — OAuth or CSV import
  • Instapaper — CSV import
  • Notion — Import from a Notion database
  • Safari — Bookmarks HTML export
  • YouTube — Import your watch history
  • Universal HTML — Any bookmarks HTML file
💡 Tip: After importing, you can undo the entire import from the Sources page if something went wrong.

Bulk URL Import

Have a list of URLs? Go to Sources → URL List and paste them (one per line). LinkBrain will process them all in the background.

REST API

Save links programmatically via POST /api/links/save. See the API documentation for authentication and examples.

Share Target (Mobile)

On mobile, install LinkBrain as a PWA. It registers as a share target, so you can share any link from any app directly into LinkBrain.
